Dear Homeowner(s):
Effective June 5, 2020, Contra Costa County lifted restrictions, allowing public pools to open; however, additional guidelines were established as part of the opening and must be adhered to due to the permit issued by the Contra Costa Health Department. To open public pools, the County requires at least one person, a pool monitor, to be on duty at all times, to ensure that social distancing and all limitations provided by the County are followed. The expense of implementing a monitor is an unforeseen and unbudgeted expense that the Association will be burdened with. To ease the monetary expense incurred, pool hours of operation have been modified to be open Monday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., beginning Tuesday, June 9th, on a first come, first serve basis. Please be mindful, as there will be no time limits as to how long an individual may utilize the pool. The amount of furniture on the pool decks has also been reduced to assist with social distancing.
In addition, the following limitations are to be enforced:
- Use of shared swimming areas must be limited to no more than one swimmer per 300 square feet of shared pool space. (6 swimmers may be allowed in the pool at one time).
- Except for members of the same household, swimmers shall remain at least six feet apart at all times.
- All gatherings shall be prohibited outside of the pool, such as on pool decks, except that members of a household may observe a child or other person swimming to ensure safety and supervision.
- Spas are to remain closed due to the inability to maintain social distancing.
Please understand that these guidelines have been decided upon by the County. Should you wish to see them eased, please reach out to the County, to let them know. We hope everyone has a safe and fun summer!!
